The time is here to make the change. No blames. No politics. Step up and act now. Work relentlessly in your respective field and help to shift gears for India.
Politics has always been a rather murky business. The shenanigans of our leaders provide for a lot of drama in the nation’s wider picture, and often, it even overshadows other spheres of national importance that probably require more attention than the mindless antics of political leaders. The media is often just too invested in TRP ratings and I don’t think anybody is foreign to the idea of media houses shedding light on the pettiest of political conflicts instead of on actual issues that will go towards the benefit of the country.
Well, if our leaders are too busy mudslinging at each other, and if the media is not interested in projecting real issues into the public gaze, what remains is common man action. That probably sounds too reductive but at the same time, not one inch of it is untrue. We are at a point where we have barely begun recovering from the effects of a worldwide pandemic, and thanks to that, the national economy— and dare I say the international economy as well— has suffered a hard hit. Business houses have been incurring losses, downsizing has put a lot of people, at different positions of the workplace hierarchy, in terrible distress, and economic activity has been almost entirely halted for quite some time.
And that is not all. economic failures and financial distress have made collective mental health plummet, and thanks to that, morale and motivation have dropped to rock bottom. Fresh job hunters are facing a terrible job market. During such a situation, the drive to reach out and take risks to achieve one’s dreams seems to be considerably low, and this lack of morale and motivation can definitely raise an issue when it comes to pulling the country back on its feet, especially economically. If the collective responsibility to take initiative is missing in the masses, then obviously it is an indicator of the trend that the country’s economy is going to take.
In the midst of all the havoc that the phased lockdowns have wreaked and all the damage that the pandemic has caused, it might be very easy for most people to lose all endeavour and give up on the pursuit of their dreams. But that is actually exactly why we need to buck up and plunge headfirst into the prospect of chasing our dreams! The correlation is simple~ the worse the situation is, the harder we must work to set things right. The political scenario is not the best either, with each political party momentarily defending issues for political clout, and not actually delivering the promises made during election campaigns. So instead of relying on the dramatic antics of the country’s leaders, it will be way more prudent to just take the initiative to a personal level and work towards individual goals to make better of this undesirable situation.
But it is very important to identify that every profession is necessary. Everything, right from the healthcare sector, to the businesses and industries, to the public service sector, it is probably safe to say that every sphere is facing a crisis~ economic, ethical, productivity-related, or otherwise. More importantly, if this pandemic has taught us anything, it is that every sector is indispensable in the smooth functioning of our nation. So we have to emphasize on every profession to be able to actually pull the country out of its doldrums of inactivity.
It all starts out as chalking out a plan. A plan to figure out how one wants their initiative to roll out. Next up comes the necessity for adequate preparation, because no idea can ever possibly kick-off without proper execution and planning is the basis for any efficiency in execution. Finally, making sure that the enterprise is conducive for profits in the post-pandemic market would be very important, too~ even if that entails an abrupt gear shift and complete redesigning of the initial idea. Because, after all, keeping up with the times is essential to make a place in any field.
The best shot at the success we have in this situation is at least trying to do our best in our own respective fields, to make sure that the economy, as a whole, bounces right back on its feet. Well, let’s cross our fingers and hope for the best!
